This is the post you've been waiting for and I've been partially dreading. Let's face it, no one wants their trip to end.

To me, Brazil was something I thought I HAD to do. I HAD to take my kids and husband there for the first time, I HAD to catch up with old friends and family. I HAD to show my family where my roots were. One thing that I didn't think Brazil would be is a place that I had missed so much.

Before I show you more pictures of this amazing trip, I need to tell you that it's absolutely surreal for me to be here, 20 years after I moved to Canada... And now that I'm in the south, where I lived for most of my Brazilian life, it's great to be able to introduce my kids to so many of my relatives and very dear friends.

I'm just so happy to have found a place with good internet in this country that I'm just going to post my images here in no particular order so you all can see it.

This place is called Cumbuco Beach and it's famous for kitesurfing due to the crazy high winds. It was my kids' first look at the sea and they were blown away.

Life has been very good and busy enough but not crazy, however that's all about to change, with the Wonderful Wedding Show just around the corner!

Please stop in to say hi - I'll be hanging out at The W List booth - back end of the room. I still have some 2010 dates open and I'll be excited to meet with you!

Ok, not "Gangsters" but pretty darn close.

They travel in packs wherever the roads may take them. They haven't got a worry in the world (no worries that are large enough to cramp their style anyway). And if the road is paved, they're on it.

Sylvie lives out in St Pierre and I was so happy when she told me that she wanted to do her engagement pictures out there. I love going to new places, specially out in the country, in the fall. Lucky for them we're having a long, warm fall... And lucky for me, they're photogenic and amazing to work with.

Technically, this wasn't in Winnipeg. Just outside Winnipeg, past Headingley, in a gorgeous park with trails and trees and water...

I'm such a romantic. But so are these two! Leanora and Jared chose me to photograph their wedding next year and I'm thinking we'll have a blast and as a bonus end up with amazing images! Leanora HAS to be a supermodel in her spare time... I'm sure of it! And Jared, though you're not so bad yourself, you are definitely one lucky man!

One warm afternoon in the fall is fantastic time to do family pictures... Lucky for us, these warm fall days are still around! I have a feeling we'll be paying for this from January to May, but hey, we'll deal with it then!

Rachel won a gift certificate at a fundraising social and we were finally able to hook up for some portraits of this very VERY cute family!

I cannot lie to you! I was so excited to have gotten a call from Deidre a couple of weeks ago asking to get together for family pictures! Deidre got married in Banff a couple of years ago and though I wasn't there, I'm sure it was a gorgeous day!
