    Here's Moni & Mike's slideshow!

Their story is not mine to tell... so I won't go into details... But Moni & Mike's love has already climbed its mountains and gone through its valleys... And we're all blessed that this day came when it did.  They've been planning it for a long time, in eco-friendly fashion: planting their own flowers, growing their veggies, making all the ceramic pots for the center pieces... you name it!

Moni & Mike, thank you for letting me be there in this very private day.  I look forward to doing this all over again next year, with bells on!

Now onto some favorite images: if you're going to do a backyard wedding... this is how you do it!

    Some details:

Here's Moni's sister helping Moni with the final details:

Moni had her dress made for her by friends who are designers, of organic silk.  Just perfect for her!

There's lots of kissing images, but they kiss so well!

    I love these:

And Moni is in the running  for becoming my all time favorite client, by giving me all these presents! She knit me some fingerless gauntlets for photographing in the fall and winter, made a plant pot and gave me a plant in it, and they got me local organic raspberry wine!  Hello!

Thank you again!  Can't wait till next year!

I met Danielle back in the day when I had a real job working in IT at Linnet - The Land Systems Company.  Yeah, I sat behind a desk, testing software (mostly telling people what to do and complaining to developers about their code - I still managed to make some good friends, though!)

She was the Administrative Assistant and was incredible working with people!  Not only that!  She designed my front yard and did the landscaping with her then boyfriend, Lino.  They sure worked hard!!!  It was back in the day when our summers were hot... remember that?

Now she makes people very happy working at Chocolate Zen (yes, you read me right!  She works in the greatest cake place in the city!!!)  I ran into her at the Wedding Show and she told me she was having a low key, small wedding in her backyard - and I love that kind of stuff - so there I went!  She did NOT prepare me for the AMAZING details she had put into the event!  She and Lino went all out!  They built this gorgeous deck, planted beautiful flowers... etc etc etc...

    Now onto some featured shots.

Here's a few detail shots to feast your eyes upon...

Isn't that just beautiful?  I love their backyard!

Danielle knows a lot of Wedding people and I loved how Danny Kramer of Danny Kramer Event Band was there too... I caught him setting up the camera for the video as he's saying: "Noooo, I'm a terrible videographer!"  You still look cute doing it, Danny!

Look at this sight!  In the foreground you have Maureen and Cesar (maid of honour and best man) duking it out!

Don't you love these casual shots of Danielle & Lino by their fence?

Some pretty ladies enjoying the gorgeous afternoon!

Danielle and Lino listening to their speeches...

And here's the speeches by Maureen and Cesar. Maureen was very upset that Cesar got his own cake having done NOTHING to help with the wedding!!!  Maureen is an old friend too from my "real job" days working at Linnet... She was my HR Manager and kept me in line (LOL)...  We had a blast and she was very encouraging when I wanted to become a photographer... Maureen, you should have warned me about the long hours and no life!!!

Then we snuck away for some sunset shots...

Where there are daisies, there is love...

    LIGHT!!!

Some more details: Notice how Lino (the groom) is bbq'ing Brazilian style! The food was out of this world!

Thank you Danielle and Lino for making me a part of this very beautiful day!

All the best in your journey, though I know our paths will always cross and we'll always be friends!
