What's Patty up to?

Ok, not "Gangsters" but pretty darn close.

They travel in packs wherever the roads may take them. They haven't got a worry in the world (no worries that are large enough to cramp their style anyway).  And if the road is paved, they're on it.

So when my mother in law, Hildi, asked me to photograph them, I was happy to oblige.  After all, we'll never be able to repay the amount of help they give us, babysitting the girls when my husband and I decide to go globetrotting.

However, here's what I wasn't prepared for: the smooching.

I'm not stupid, I know they smooch.  But I warn you if you're part of my family: there's a whole lotta smooching going on here.  If you can't handle it (Robert), then don't look.

In any case, enough talking for now:

    Hello!

    I just love this one:

    And there you go:

Dad requested this one, and I love how he just stood there admiring his beauty and his beast.

     Nice!

Now, can you believe her?  Hot stuff eh?

Dad, you need this one for your office!  A big huge copy of it.

Now, this is what I was talking about.  Usually I have to ask my couples to do this.  For them, I had to ask them to please STOP doing it!

I just ABSOLUTELY love this one:

Mom asked me to do something to this effect:

Dad wanted his hog all alone for a shot:

    A nicely behaved one:

Thanks Mom and Dad for letting me capture you two in 2009.  Looking great and loving each other just as much if not more than ever.

It's great to see, even if it grosses me out a little!

    Much love!

I'm doing Tamara & Colin's wedding this fall (coming soon you guys!) and I can't wait!  Ukrainian Food mixed with French traditions, and this time I get to stay for the reception too!  We had some time to get together and do their engagement pictures before the big day and it was delightful!

We met and Colin and Tamara's recently purchased home - their first home together.  Tamara is a journalist and this makes for a great story, doesn't it?

Well, wait till you see the shots!

Actually, no, don't wait!  Here they are! They were having a backyard picnic when I arrived... sipping on wine that they had been saving for a year, for this occasion! A toast to their first home together!

I just love their backyard! Hey guys, let's skip all our planned locations for the wedding and just hang back at your place! ;)

    I love the red door!

After all of this front-yard snuggling, we headed out to St Francis Xavier, and found a wheat field.  At this point, their stories intertwine: He's a country boy, and she's a city girl, but she's Ukrainian, so wheat means good luck for the couple on their wedding!  Isn't that sweet?

Here's some prairie skies for you, Tamara!

Sunflower fields and silhouettes  to end the day!

Thanks  Tamara and Colin for asking me to do these!  The wedding day will be a blast!

Their Wedding is coming up soon, so I won't waste your time with their whole story, but I'll say this: I love Alison and I love her mom!!!  We met at my place after I did her friends wedding (thank you Melodie & TJ) last year and she booked me nearly on the spot.

I'm excited to have finally met you Colter, and I'm excited that after 10 years together, you two are tying the knot...

I'm looking forward to being there and having a blast!

For their engagement session, Alison & Colter chose King's Park - where they take their dog, Charlie, for walks all the time.  Isn't it beautiful?

Can't wait till next week, guys!

You have no idea how happy I was to photograph this little bundle of joy... Well, she's not that little anymore (1 month old) but sure is a bundle of joy!  I'm sure her parents would beg to differ if you asked them in the middle of the night...

But here she is and we are so happy for you Mark and Monika, that she arrived!

You two have been an important part of our lives and have been there from the first day I joined this crazy Boge family (though some would say crazy is as crazy does - or it takes one to know one, yada yada...)

Thank you for all the sushi nights, and spirited talks and encouragement through the years!

Blessings on you as you parent and grow with Little Miss Sunshine here!

    Love you!

    Oh, pictures?  Sure!!!

See Mark?  I can even make YOU look good!

Just you look at these blue eyes!!

    Thanks again guys!

Let's do it again soon! (and order some sushi right after that!)

It was a long drive to The Narrows last week... But it was a nice prairie summer day, nice roads, and I had Ira Glass with me, which really... if you don't listen to Ira, you don't know what you're missing...

And not to mention I had a lot to look forward to.  I was going to meet Karen's extended family for the first time as they vacationed at The Narrows Lake, about 2 hours North of Winnipeg.  The place was stunning and the family was so incredibly warm and fun... And they fed me this incredible chicken salad, quiche, cake, coffee... You guys can invite me to your family gatherings anytime!

Here's some images from that day:

Bruce and Carol with their grandchildren:

    The whole family:

They had seen this on my website and wanted that as a memory of their time together at the lake:

I loved how Carol said that she wanted a shot of the girls running towards the tree... It was their favorite activity everyday out there.

Here's the gorgeous couple that started it all.

Some more of the individual families:

    And the kids shots:

Karen's family wanted some extra shots, so here they are:

    And here's man's best friend:

Thank you all for inviting me to be a part of this celebration!  Keep in touch and let's do this again!

She tortures me on a regular basis, yet, I just love her...  She pushes me till I am bruised and can hardly walk... Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating, but she IS my massage therapist and I guess the old saying "no pain, no gain", holds true in this case.

All kidding aside, truth is, with the weight of my equipment and the beating that my body takes doing this job, I just can't live without her!!!

So, when she asked me to photograph her wedding to the love of her life, I could only say: YES!!!

I'm so glad she came up to Lac Du Bonnet for her session... I love shooting out there!  The water is so gorgeous, and the surroundings so beautiful!  Thanks Chantel, for picking me.  Your wedding will be beautiful and I can hardly wait!

Now, onto some of the images.  (By the way, thank you Paul for putting up with me and for listening to my ideas! Trust me, we'll have loads of fun on your wedding!)

     Awww, so sweet...

     I love this one:

Now, this is the Chantel I know...

And I'm sure Mom will like this one:

And what's country shots without a little fun in the Canola fields?

We finished up in the weeds...

Thanks again Chantel and Paul for picking me!

Enjoy your summer and get ready for me in the fall!

When Sher called me and told me that she was referred by one of my long time clients, Charisse, I was thrilled!  I love referrals because not only does it mean that the client who referred had a good time with me and was happy with the results, but it also means that the new client has seen my work and knows what to expect.  It's a win-win and it's sure to be fun!

So, on Canada Day, we planned to meet at St Vital Park and the weather was absolutely perfect! I also just about fell over when I saw Sher and Gordon's girls!  They are so incredibly gorgeous that they should be on the cover of a magazine.

Well, girls, I'm no magazine, but you're surely on my Blog Cover today!

Thank you for choosing me and I look forward to working with you guys in the future (petty please?!?)

We started with some sunny traditional shots:

And here's the recipe for good looking (gorgeous) kids:

    Don't you just love these?

And sorry girls, Tynessa gets an extra shot, but she's the youngest, so, I'm sorry...

Here's when Tynessa relaxed and started showing me some attitude!

Ok, did I tell you girls that I have a very cute, single, 26-year old brother????  No pressure, just throwing it out there...

Daddy's girls: (man, where do you keep that shotgun???)

    Shoes!!!

    Mom's girls:

Then the girls had to have a jumping shot! Yay!

Thanks so much guys, this was a blast!  These are just a few of MANY shots taken that day!  You guys are a lot of fun and a wonderful family!  All the best in all your endeavours!

Kesia is my little cousin from Brazil, who is living with us while she goes to school to learn English... My favorite uncle, Daniel, sent her ALLLL the way up here and entrusted me with caring for her...

And what do I do?  I put her in a short little dress and heels and make her pose! Ai Ai Ai! He would say...

But I got news for you... there's much more to come yet (no, guys, sorry, but I'm not doing THOSE kinds of photoshoots with her...)

Here's a few shots for you to enjoy and for her to share with everyone back home (take THAT Mr Ex-Boyfriend! Ha!)

Contact me now! And let's get your Photoshoot done before the craziness of the Summer!

If you keep up with Boge culture, you must know that the tie was broken when baby Jackson came into the world last year... 6 boys and 5 girls all under the age of 9...

But, the tie is on again!  Katyiana Ginette Boge (Jamie and Ghislaine's baby) came into the world just over a week ago and is cute as a button!  I can't believe how much she's grown already in just a few days!  I'm specially excited because I get to photograph this little cutie - and I get to pass on the millions of pink clothes to her and her big sister Anastasia! Yay for the girls.

We always wonder who will be the next to break the tie and I can tell you right now it won't be me... Krista,  Lori and Ghislaine (again) are up for it this time!

Enough "Boge Talk"! Time for some pictures!

I was sitting there visiting with Ghislaine and Mom and then all of a sudden, Sebastien (we call him Sea-bass) runs into his bedroom and grabs his pillow, which is a signal to his mom that he wants to hold baby K!

He is just in awe of her...

Then all of a sudden, he just starts watching TV and holding her, like it's no big deal, he's just doing his job.  Just like his dad!!!

Then we try to get Anastasia in the picture and she just isn't quite interested at first...

But then, all of a sudden, she is ok with it for about 2 seconds, so I have to work fast!

Then I get this little sweetie pie all to myself...

Naked Newborns are always a good subject...  And naked babies in their mommy's arms... oh so sweet...

It's always good to finish with babies in the makeup case, isn't it?

Thank you for letting me come over, guys!  Time to update the family picture, quick, before the next one comes!

    Love, Tante Patty!

I was so excited to be able to visit this little baby in her home... See, she's very special to my household...  Her mom is one of my girls' favorite teacher: Mme Vokey!

I did this session in her house and it was very cool, because she has a very colorful house!

Here we are in the nursery... I love how the parents work hard at making their kids smile...

On the left is the shot and on the right is what Shelley and Russell did to get it...  Well, I shot it after they put away their tongues...

I always love the way parents look at their babies... So in Wonder...

Maya Claire was beginning to let lose here.

     My favorite!

I love their yellow kitchen! And the daddy kisses... Aww....

Now, mommy didn't get the cuddles that daddy did. But we sure got some good expressions!

     Good times!

Thank you Shelley, Russell and  Maya Claire for having me over at your house!  You guys have a beautiful baby!  Enjoy parenthood!
